Selakano Forest. Crete
A PROTECTED CRETAN LANDSCAPE
Houmeli is harvested in the Selakano Forest, on the slopes of the Dikti mountains in southeast Crete. Part of the European Natura 2000 network, Selakano is home to one of the Meditettanean's most important pine forests and has a long tradition of Cretan beekeeping.
